The context: an ambitious, international CSR strategy

For over twenty years, Nespresso has been committed to more sustainable coffee through its AAA for Sustainable Quality™ program, fair support for producers and reducing its carbon footprint.

In 2022, B Corp certification marked a new stage: strengthening social and environmental impact across the entire value chain.

But how do you mobilize local teams and make CSR progress visible across a national network of boutiques, branches and offices?

Challenges: federating, managing and promoting local initiatives

The Nespresso France teams have identified three priority levers:

  • Sustainable sourcing and fair trade: pursuing our commitments to the AAA program and fair trade.
  • Reduce environmental impact: develop recycling and circularity, aiming for 60% recycled capsules by 2030.
  • Internal mobilization: involving employees in B Corp standards via the "Green Team" and concrete in-store actions.

The Lakaa solution: a CSR platform for field teams

In April 2024, Nespresso is rolling out the Lakaa CSR platform across its 44 French sites - boutiques, headquarters and regional offices.

Lakaa allows :

  • centralize and manage multi-site CSR initiatives,
  • promote local initiatives and encourage sharing between teams,
  • monitor engagement indicators (photos, declarations, briefs),
  • andlead the CSR process with simple, collaborative tools.

The results: concrete, measurable mobilization

A few months after deployment :

  • 100% of sites have carried out at least one CSR action
  • 📸 2,820 photos of field actions uploaded
  • 📝 2,190 initiative declarations recorded
  • 👥 619 employees hired
  • ♻️ 55,444 kg of waste collected
  • 💡 4,075 CSR briefs produced (reinsertion, safety, biodiversity...)

Thanks to Lakaa, Nespresso now has a consolidated vision of its commitment to the territory, while strengthening the coherence between head office and the field.
